Carola Dixon

Carola C. Dixon is an interdisciplinary artist raised between Australia and Italy. At the age of fifteen, Carola moved to New York to study Fine Arts at Columbia University.

Over the past few years, the artist has been involved in various different projects as both an environmental activist and artist. Carola Dixon worked with multiple NGO’s focused on protecting marine life, such as the organization Oceanic Global, organized fundraiser shows with up and coming artists, and wrote and edited for The Current; an online publication interviewing artists about climate change and conservation.

Outside of environmentally focused work, between 2019 and 2020 C. Dixon animated and directed the online TV series Gen.2 Kids, in collaboration with musician Rachel Roth. The artist has directed multiple short films, most notably Old News, premiered in Berlin in the summer of 2019, and Certain Nature released in 2021. Carola also directed music videos for musicians such as Cassidy Leverett.

The artist has exhibited work and performed in various galleries throughout New York and Berlin, including their performance at Anthology Film Archives in 2020.
