Banksy, Expect The Unexpected

On Friday 5th of October 2018 at Sothebys in London, I was standing next to LOT 67, when Banksy’s ‘Girl With Balloon’ artwork was shredded.

It had just been auctioned off for £860,000 excluding buyer’s premium.

The gavel came down and suddenly a loud beeping sound filled the room…
